Played today, I shot a 75 and 61 At Cape May National Golf Course. Yes, 18 hole played. Played the morning shot the 75. Course was in outstanding form, Better then the summer.

Played a interesting game on shooting the 61. You play with one club for 18 hole. Start off on the first tee and finishes on the 18 th green. You hit tee to green. Once on the green, you hit only one putt with that club. If you hole it you get to take off one stroke off your score. If you hit it with in the lenght of the club that is a one putt, with in two lenghts that is two putts and so on. then go to the next tee box and contue on until you hit the 18th green. Prizes are- First place was 1/2 the money, Second was 2/3 of the of half and 1/3 for the rest for third.

For those who have played with me? Know that I can putt with any club in my bag. So I hole-out 9 time today and one putted the the other nine. Club of my choice was a 3 wood.

Played a tough Arthur Hills track today. For some reason though, I usually play it well. It all came down to the final hole, presses, ties, the whole works. I made a putt for birdie which I thought I'd missed. That was huge. Broke the tie, won the press against the other player... Big putt. Love doing that on the 18th.

Raining pretty hard today when I started out. By the time I got to about hole 15 I had nothing left that was dry enough to dry the grips off so it was a little slippery there for a while at the end. Probably cost me a couple of strokes. Made several long putts and chipped in twice today. A good day putting in the rain. The golf course didn't expect anyone to play today so they never put the pins out, I just aimed for the middle of the green on every hole, it worked out pretty well. Was 2 under par after 3 holes then played at 6 over the rest of the way, 76, lost most of those strokes due to the rain and the fact there were no pins!
Cranky when I can't get out and play

Such a beautiful day in PA. I couldn't resist, so I walked 9 holes after church today. Shot a 45 (+9) on the front at FDR. Shot bogey, bogey, bogey, bogey, double, par, bogey, par, double. Hit 6/7 fw, 2 gir, 15 putts and no penalties.
"Golf's ultimate moral instruction directs us to to find within ourselves a pivotal center of enjoyment: relax into a rhythm that fits the hills and swales, and play the shot at hand - not the last one, or the next one, but the one at your feet, in the poison ivy, where you put it. "-John Updike

Not a great number, but this shot was fun to try.

Today's round was not much to brag about. Pace of play was VERY slow, 2:40 for the front nine. Hard to get into any kind of rhythm. Waited on 5th tee for 20 minutes with two other groups. Not all that fun.
