About GolfStats

GolfStats was originally created in 2005 by Tony Korologos (creator of The Golf Space and Hooked On Golf Blog) as a stand alone PHP golf handicap and statistics application. It was ported to a Joomla! 1.0 component in 2006 and was mothballed in 2009.

During the months of January-October 2010, Tony Korologos rewrote the entire application for Joomla! 1.5.x compatibility and added many new features, including the handicapping system. In early 2012, GolfStats was converted to multi-language and support for Joomla 1.6/1/7.
