This has been a very weird winter...  As most of you know, Tony (mr. golf space) is a buddie of mine here at River Oaks Golf Course  (Tony's home course, and where I have the honor  to work)  I have been sidelined for the past few years with some intense pain that resulted in my having a metal plate screwed into my neck to keep me upright.  Like most men, I put this off and just lived through the pain until my doctor told me that if someone pushed me hard enough from behind, I could end up in a wheelchair.  That information, with my close friends telling me that I was not the same person (when you are in pain your fuse gets a bit smaller, and with the drugs I was taking not myself) finally had surgury.
My swing took its time to get back, and it felt as if I may never get the club to where I used to at impact...    I sucked at golf-  especially with my longer clubs.  I still tried to play, but it was not the same.  Then to top off my wonderful medical story, a few weeks after I got back to work, I was on the driving range with Tony hitting his new driver, and blew out my left knee!

If your not asleep yet, all I really wanted to blog about was, "It's a bitch to get old!"  Take my advise, don't let it happen to you...

It's now a year later, and I almost feel like I can find the position at the bottom, and just in the past few months I feel like I can hit a driver...  (Tony brought one to the golf couse to try, I hit it once, and would not give it back....  )  Just so all of you know, it's good to be tony's friend!
I hate to say this, but now after playing for almost 50 years, I am still in love with Golf-  I love the game and the people who play it-  My oldest son Chase is also a dedicated golf nut, and if you are interested Chase and I have started a golf vlog-  Go to youtube, and go to missing links golf to check out not only my golf course but some of the cool golf courses in Utah...  He has talked me into giving some golf coaching.
I am almost there, and I am thankful just to be able to play-  It's now time to try to get back some of the money I have lost to Tony over the past few years....
